Charitable Partners

Ten charitable partners participate in the 2016 campaign. Each partner is a nonprofit federation that raises funds for a group of its member agencies.  The federations receive and disburse employee gifts to their member agencies.  Click on a charity's name to see its profile, including its member agencies and the workplace-giving programs in which they participate.

American Heart Association Heart Walk
Help the American Heart Association fight Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke by making a contribution to the AHA Atlanta Heart Walk. The American Heart Association is an approved charity under the Emory Community Giving program.

Community Health Charities of the Southeast
Unites caring donors in the workplace with the most trusted health charities in Georgia and the nation.

Earth Share of Georgia
Supports the work of 68 local, national, and international environmental groups addressing the critical issues of air and water quality, wildlife habitats, urban sprawl, and human health.

Foundation of Wesley Woods
Older adults from throughout Georgia and the Southeast come to Wesley Woods to receive cutting-edge geriatric healthcare and to enjoy the comfort and fellowship provided in each Wesley Woods' eight retirement communities.  The Foundation of Wesley Woods is the connection point between the generosity of supporters in the community, and the practical, life-changing work for which Wesley Woods is respected and renowned.

We give more than $1.2 million annually to pay for un reimbursed and charitable care and also provide significant funding for capital improvements to Wesley Woods' residential communities.  The Foundation of Wesley Woods is able to fund this important work through the support of the local community, and also because of the generous donations of Emory Healthcare employees.  If you would like additional information, contact us at 404-728-6204.

Georgia Black United Fund
A community fund that provides financial and technical resources for 45 human-services member agencies dedicated to enhancing the lives of members of underserved communities in the state of Georgia.

Georgia Shares
Represents 20 member agencies dedicated to social and economic justice for all Georgians through services to people living with AIDS, survivors of domestic violence and rape, and advancement of positive social change.

Global Impact supports leading U.S. based international charities to address critical needs throughout the world.  We help ensure sustainable solutions by meeting real needs with real results.

MedShare
MedShare bridges the gap between surplus and need to improve health care and the environment through the efficient recovery and redistribution of surplus medical supplies and equipment. Since its founding, MedShare has partnered with Emory University and Emory Healthcare to provide a wide variety of critically-needed medical supplies and equipment like gloves, gowns, syringes, incubators, and beds, among thousands of others, to hospitals in the developing world. The organization ships items that are hand-selected by recipient institutions in tractor-trailer size containers and also supplies medical mission teams sponsored by local religious groups, hospitals, and universities.

Mercy Care
Since the 1980s, Mercy Care has been a healing presence among Atlanta's homeless and uninsured populations by being a reliable provider of high quality integrated care. In the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, care reflects an understanding of and respect for vulnerable patients. Mercy Care’s dedicated staff, tireless volunteers and caring donors are a vital part of the city’s medical safety net, catching those who fall through the cracks of mainstream healthcare. As one staff member commented, "We give our clients hope. This may be the best medicine of all."

United Way of Greater Atlanta
United Way partners with and invests in nearly 200 of the most effective community agencies across 13-county service areas, and develops signature programs to ensure children succeed in school and graduate prepared for careers (education), to help families achieve financial stability (income), to provide affordable and accessible healthcare (health) and to ensure that everyone has a safe place to call home (homelessness). United Way is effecting measurable change and helping the community thrive.
